CA Ashwini Sawrikar, recognised as one of India’s Top 100 Women in Finance in 2020 by AIWMI (Association for International Wealth Management of India) in the “Leading” category, is a seasoned GRC professional with nearly 30 years of experience across India and the Gulf region, specializing in assurance, governance, and risk management.
She currently serves as the Designated Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Artha Bharat Investment Managers IFSC LLP; and is the Co-Founder and CEO of DigiTark Software Services FZCO, based in Dubai. Ashwini also holds a board position with Artha Capital, Mauritius, a Category II Foreign Portfolio Investor focused on investing in distressed assets in India.
Ashwini’s career includes roles such as Chief Audit & Risk Officer at Arabia Falcon Insurance Company, Vice President-Corporate Finance at Vision Investments in Oman, and positions at prominent firms like Deloitte, KPMG, and financial institutions including Kotak Bank and JP Morgan Chase in India.
A Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI, Ashwini is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, USA, a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from IIA, USA, a CFA Charter holder from CFA Institute, USA, and holds a certification in Operational Risk Management (ORM) from CISI, UK.
Ashwini has been actively involved in professional organisations in Oman, serving on the boards of ISACA-Muscat, IIA-Oman, and ICAI-Muscat Chapter. She was the ICAI Muscat Chapter Chairperson in 2019-20, when the Chapter won the gold shield & first award in its category from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She was also a founding member of CFA-Oman. Ashwini served on the Board of ABA, an international school in Oman from 2013-2015 holding the position of Treasurer & Finance Director. Currently, she is a Board Member of Indian Schools in Oman, nominated by the Indian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman; this Board oversees 23 schools that cater to approximately 46,000 students and employ 2,500 staff across Oman.
